My Courses is your personal learning area at Consult4Kids. Every course you have enrolled in appears here, so you can start something new, continue where you left off and see your progress at a glance. This page explains how it works and how to make your learning count at your site.

How it works

When you enroll in a course, it is added to this area. Each course shows whether you have started it and how far you have gone. You can open any course and pick up exactly where you stopped. That makes it easy to learn in short sessions, which is often all a busy program leader has.

Learning that fits a program schedule

People who work with children rarely have long, quiet stretches for study. The courses are built with that in mind. Consider these habits:

  • choose a regular time, such as before your shift or during a planning period
  • complete one lesson at a time and stop at a natural break
  • write down one idea from each lesson that you want to try
  • try that idea with your group within a few days
  • return to the course after you have seen how it worked

Bringing lessons to your team

If you lead staff, My Courses can become a shared resource. Consider discussing a lesson at a team meeting or asking a staff member to try an idea and report back. Courses such as The Four Hats of Leadership and Learning Children’s Names work especially well when a whole team practices the same habits together.

When you finish a course

Finishing a course is a good moment to pause. What changed at your site because of what you learned? What would you like to improve next? Use the answers to choose your next course. Learning that follows real needs tends to stick.

Questions along the way

If a lesson raises a question about your specific program, write it down and reach out. A short conversation can often turn a general idea into something that fits your site exactly.

Why it matters

Consult4Kids builds stronger experiences for children by strengthening the adults and systems around them. Every lesson you complete is part of that. The time you invest here shows up later in calmer afternoons and children who feel known.
