The Vocational Training-Program Leader Membership allows you access to Program Leader 101, a comprehensive written course for youth leaders. The course includes seven modules: History of Afterschool, Working in a Learning Organization, Professionalism, Quality Programming, Curriculum, Exemplary Performance, and Putting It Altogether. There are eight (8) lessons in each of the modules. The lessons include basic knowledge and information, direct application to the day’s work, “tricks of the trade”, and best practices.
Description
The Vocational Training-Program Leader Membership allows you access to the Program Leader 101 (PL101) course. Program Leader 101 is a written course for Frontline staff, the people who interact face-to-face with a group of youth every day. These are the adults who strive to be positive role models and mentors for youth and engage them in active, hands-on, minds-on learning experiences. Frontline staff builds strong connections and relationships with youth and implements practices which engage youth in leadership, academic, and physical and behavioral learning opportunities. It is frontline staff who builds the competency and capacity of youth to reach for success.
This written training has been developed to give frontline staff information foundational to working with youth.
