June 22 – Encouraging Youth to Help Others/h2>
Helping Others.

Helping others is a powerful way for young people to build empathy, responsibility, and a sense of community. When youth contribute positively to their surroundings, they begin to see how their actions can make a difference.

Youth programs can encourage helping behaviors through simple opportunities. Youth may assist peers with activities, help organize materials, or support group projects.

Adults can reinforce these behaviors by recognizing acts of kindness and highlighting how these actions benefit the entire group.

Service-oriented activities also help youth understand the importance of contributing to a community. Even small acts of support can teach youth that helping others creates stronger and more caring environments.

As young people practice helping others, they develop compassion and leadership. These experiences help youth understand that their contributions matter.
